Community Family Centers-Houston

Community Family Centers (CFC) offers the following service:

• Innovative Alternatives-Victim Assistance Program:  This program offers counseling to assist in recovering from a traumatic experience, such as being a victim of a crime. The program offers 8 free individual therapy sessions and 18 hours of free workshops and/or group therapy sessions.  Please see the website and click on “Our Programs” then “Family Support Services”.
• Childcare:  Los Ninos Early Childhood Montessori Program serves Houston’s inner-city East End children ages 3-6.  (The child must be 3 years old by September 1 of the entering school year). They are open year round from 7:30 am-5:00 pm.  Weekly fees are based on income.  For full-time care the fee will be at least $50/week and for part-time care the fee will be at least $25/week.  Please see the website and click on “Our Programs” then “Early Childhood Education”.  CFC also has a summer program called Camp Fresh for 6-17 year olds.  It is a 10 week summer day camp starting in June (Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm).
