Dallas Housing Authority
The Dallas Housing Authority manages the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program (formerly known as Section 8). DHA pays a portion of rent directly to your landlord. Program participants pay the balance of the rent directly to the landlord. Please see the website to see if the program is open to new applicants as it is often closed.
The DHA also has residential communities that offer affordable rental housing to low to moderate income families and individuals. Qualified tenants pay 30 percent of their income for rent.
