Houston Area Women’s Center (HAWC)
The Houston Area Women’s Center (HAWC) works with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. They offer the following services:
- Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-713-528-2121
- Sexual Assault Hotline: 1-713-528-RAPE (7273)
- HAWC has a 120 bed shelter and residential facility at an undisclosed location that supports 24-hour surveillance and security personnel. They offer a daycare and after-school programs so mothers can continue education, employment, etc.
- Counseling: HAWC offers free and confidential counseling to domestic violence survivors, sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse survivors, and caregivers of child sexual abuse survivors.
