Women, Infants, & Children (WIC)

WIC is a special supplemental food program for women, infants and children up to age five. WIC foods are intended to supplement participants’ food intake and should be consumed along with other wholesome foods needed for a balanced diet. Each of the WIC foods is rich in calcium, iron, protein, vitamin A and vitamin C.

Eligibility:

  • Be individually determined to be at nutrition risk by a health professional.
  • Have infants and/or children up to five years of age.
  • Meet income guidelines–A family of four can earn up to $3,793.00 a month and still qualify.
  • Be a pregnant or breastfeeding woman.

Family Planning Service

Low to no-cost birth control through a Title X funded grant.  The services, open to male, female and the LGBTQ community, include the following:

  • Well woman/man exam
  • Pap smear with STD/STI exam
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Preconception counseling
  • Contraceptive counseling
  • Breast exam with referral if needed
  • Blood pressure, height, weight
  • Urinalysis
  • Hemoglobin test if needed

The different contraceptives available include various types of oral birth control pills, male and female condoms, Depo-Provera injection, implants, intrauterine devices (IUD) as well as a prescription for the birth control patch and ring.

Provides a continuum of care for pregnant and parenting women, their children and families through:

  • Case Management/Care Coordination
  • Comprehensive Home Visitation Services
  • Coordinated Care for Children with Special Health Care Needs
  • Fetal and Infant Death Review and Community Outreach
  • Newborn Screenings
  • Lead Screening
  • Child Safety and Safe Sleep Education
  • Car Seat and Crib Distribution
