North Dallas Shared Ministries
North Dallas Shared Ministries offers the following services:
- Emergency Assistance: They provide emergency financial assistance to people who need money to pay rent and/or utilities. Individuals and families may only receive financial assistance once in a 12 month period and must meet eligibility requirements. Please see the website for service area and eligibility requirements.
- Food Pantry: Applicants must meet eligibility requirements (please see website). Applicants may receive food eight times in twelve months.
- Clothing: A family may receive clothing three times in a 12 month period. The clothes closet is open 9am-3pm Monday through Friday and 9am-11:30am on Saturday.
- School Uniforms and Supplies: In mid-summer they provide two new school uniforms and a full complement of school supplies to pre-qualified children. They accept applications beginning in June. They distribute the uniforms the week before DISD begins classes and school supplies on the first day of school. Adult applicants must present a social security card or birth certificate for each child.
- Furniture: In partnership with the Dallas Furniture Bank, they provide furniture to displaced households. They place the order for furniture and delivery and pay for both. The Furniture Bank then schedules a delivery date directly with the client.
- Dental Clinic: Check-in 9am and 1pm Monday-Friday. (214)358-8729
- Medical Clinic: Walk-in or appointment 7:30am-3pm Monday-Friday. (214)358-8705. They offer medical services for adults and children.
- Vision Services
- Counseling Services: By appointment only (214)358-8795. Counseling is offered for children, teens, adults, and families.
**Everyone seeking assistance must apply in person. They serve clients on a first-come, first-served basis.**
