EARLY HEAD START
Pregnant women and families with children from birth to 3 years who reside in one of the targeted zip codes and whose family income is at or below the Federal poverty guidelines.
What services are available?
Home-Based:
Visitation hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Monday through Friday
Home visitors offer:
- Health and developmental screenings
- One-on-one educational training, counseling, and referral services for families and children by a qualified Home Visitor
- Weekly home visits (one per month for prenatal families)
- Twice monthly group socialization experiences for parents and children
Center-Based:
Classroom hours: 8:00am – 2:00pm
Monday through Friday
Classroom teachers offer:
- Health and developmental screenings
- Low classroom ratios and healthy, nutritious meals
- Early learning experiences and teaching specific to each child’s needs by qualified teachers
- Home visits and parent-teacher conferences twice per year
- Monthly parent meetings and center activities

HEAD START
Families with children from ages 3-5 years who reside in one of the targeted zip codes and whose family income is at or below the Federal poverty guidelines.
Services Provided:
- Individualized early childhood development resources
- Health and developmental screenings, including speech, hearing, vision and lead exposure
- Medical, dental and mental health services
- Parental involvement and education, including nutritional counseling
- Extended onsite care for working parents
- In-home family support and counseling
- Disability services for children that are mild, moderate or severe.
