Individual case managers focus on helping find permanent supportive housing and/or employment, as well as identifying resources and referrals to help overcome the challenges faced by these women.

New Directions Family Residence

When each night is the difference between ‘just surviving’ and thriving.

The Salvation Army’s New Directions – Pathway of Hope initiative provides individualized services to families with children who desire to take action to break the cycle of crisis and vulnerability that repeats generation after generation. It seeks to address the root causes of poverty in addition to The Army’s history of compassionate serving. By helping families overcome challenges like unemployment, unstable housing, and lack of education, we can lead families down a path toward increased stability and, ultimately, self-sufficiency.

Located at the Purdue Center of Hope, New Directions houses up to 17 families, women and children nightly, with a maximum stay of up to 6 months.
