The Volunteer Ministry Center (VMC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and offers specialized services to individuals experiencing homelessness and those within our community who are in crisis. VMC’s programs support its two-fold mission of facilitating permanent supportive housing for those who are homeless and providing services to prevent homelessness.

Programs:

VMC Resource Center – Offers transitional day program for the homeless, the Resource Center is a case management program which assists people in their efforts to work their way out of homelessness. Every member is assigned a case manager who works with them to overcome barriers to housing and self-sufficiency. When housing is achieved, the case manager remains involved until independence is achieved. Various classes, a meal program, showers, laundry facilities and social activities are also offered as a part of the programming.

Bush Family Refuge – Serves individuals who are in crisis and who may be at risk of losing their housing. It also serves the homeless who are in need of an assessment for housing services. Services provided include assistance with rent, utilities, transportation, prescriptions, clothing, toiletries, birth certificates and state-issued identification, and housing assessments

Minvilla Manor – Provides 57 apartments for formerly chronically homeless individuals with a disability.

The Foyer – Housing Focused Emergency Overnight Shelter

VMC Dental Clinic – Provides comprehensive dental care at no charge for the homeless and low income in our community.
