First Baptist Church-Tillman’s Corner
First Baptist Church-Tillman’s Corner offers the following services:
- Food Pantry: They provide non-perishable food items and groceries. Assistance is provided once every two months for families and every week for those who are homeless. The pantry is open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9am-12pm.
- Gas Vouchers: For those with a vehicle but who need help with gas, they offer gas vouchers to help you get to from Point A to Point B. This is only available on Tuesdays and first come, first serve.
- Diapers Through Discipleship: This program provides new parents with a way to obtain assistance in caring for their baby while also aiding in their spiritual walk. It is available on Tuesdays and Fridays.
- Christmas Store: Demonstrating the true meaning of Christmas by providing gifts to children who would not otherwise receive them. If you haven’t received assistance from the Christmas Store in the past, you can apply for this program. Applications are reviewed based on need and availability. (Zip Codes: 36582 & 36619). Applications begin in October.
Eligibility:
Your eligibility to receive help is based on a number of factors. You can call the office before you come to check if you are eligible for the program. Please bring a valid ID with you.
Our Process
1. Sign In
Upon arriving, they will ask you to fill out a few forms to help them address your situation and needs.
2. Speak with the Front Desk
One of their volunteers will then speak with you about your needs and talk about how they can help.
3. Speak with a Counselor
If you are visiting with them for the first time, they ask that you speak to one of counselors. They will briefly speak with you and pray for your situation.
4. Food Pick Up
Once done, you can head to the back of their building to pick up your groceries and any other items they provide you with.
