AIDS Foundation of Houston
The AIDS Foundation of Houston (AFH) provides the following services to those living with HIV/AIDS:
- Housing: They work with the chronically homeless HIV/AIDS population including single individuals with issues related to substance abuse and mental health, elderly men, women, mothers and their children, and young adults (18-24).
- Case management: They offer individualized plans to address financial stability, family issues, basic needs, mental health and substance abuse treatment, and how to link to needed medical and social services.
- Food pantry: The Stone Soup pantry provides food assistance to HIV-positive individuals and their families. It is located at the AFH office. They are open M-F 10 am-4 pm. (No ID is required to obtain food from the pantry).
