Catholic Charities of Fort Worth
Description: Catholic Charities Fort Worth (CCFW) is an enterprising nonprofit with a belief that ending poverty is possible. Our diverse services, poverty solutions, and income-generating social enterprises help tens of thousands in our 28 county diocese each year, most of whom are the working poor, some of whom are even Catholic. Food, Spanish seeking serves, information, and referrals are offered.
CCFW offers the following services:
- Financial Assistance:
If you reside in Tarrant County and are seeking financial assistance for rent, electric, gas, or water, we can place your name in a pool of all applicants. You will remain in this pool for two weeks. Those who are RANDOMLY selected from the pool will be called within one to 14 days to be scheduled for an appointment. If you have called within the last 14 days and were added to the pool, you are still in the pool.

- Health Services:
St. Joseph Health Care Trust provides one time assistance, up to $500 per client, for assistance with:
- Vision exams and glasses
- Hearing exams and hearing aids
- Non-surgical dental services (extractions, dentures, cleaning, etc.)
- Doctor visits / medical appointments (including opioid addiction treatment, MRI’s, lab tests)
- Prescription medicines
- Medical goods
To receive assistance please call the Hope Center at 817.534.0814 and select option 2 Monday through Friday, 8 am to 12 pm to speak with a Hope Center representative. If eligible for services, we can place your name in a pool of all applicants. You will remain in this pool for two weeks. Those who are RANDOMLY selected from the pool will be called within one to 14 days to be scheduled for an appointment. If you did not receive a call to schedule an appointment after the 14 days you are welcome to call the Hope Center back to be placed in the pool once more.

- Veteran Services Program:
Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)
Provides supportive services to very low-income Veteran families in or transitioning to permanent housing.
Homeless Veteran Reintegration Program (HVRP)
Dedicated to providing employment assistance to homeless veterans.
Provides mental health counseling to Veterans, dependents and surviving spouses.
