COVID-19 Relief Resources – School Loans
To provide relief to student loan borrowers during the COVID-19 national emergency, on March 13, 2020, it was announced that all loans owned by the U.S. Department of Education (ED) will have interest waived. That includes Direct Loans, as well as Federal Perkins Loans and Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program loans held by ED. When an end date for the zero-interest period has been set, information will be posted to the page.
Please note that some FFEL Program loans are owned by commercial lenders, and some Perkins Loans are held by the institution you attended. These loans are not eligible for this benefit at this time.
Please visit the website to learn more information about these changes, eligibility and other relief assistance options regarding student loans.
