Gulf Coast Community Services Association
The Gulf Coast Community Services Association provides the following services:
- The GCCSA Head Start program is an early childhood development program for children ages 3-5 from low-income families. They have 21 Head Start centers in the Houston area.
- The Rental Assistance Program offers financial assistance to families who are in danger of losing shelter. The family MUST have received a VACATE NOTICE in order to qualify. They also offer utility assistance to those with a DISCONNECT NOTICE.
- GCCSA offers transportation assistance to clients seeking employment and/or attending education programs. The association offers assistance by providing the client with a Metro Q card.
- GCCSA has an emergency food pantry that will provide a client with 3-5 days worth of groceries. Assistance can only be received once per year.
