Harris Health System (previously called the Gold Card)

The Harris Health System (previously called the Gold Card) helps people with low or no income get healthcare services.  The system accepts those who are uninsured or underinsured. The Harris Health System is not free–fees are on a sliding-scale based on income. The Harris Health System has multiple locations throughout Harris County.  Please see the website and click on “Locations” to find the location nearest you.  To apply you can mail your application or drop it off the nearest eligibility center.  To find the online application go to the website, click on “Patient Eligibility”, and then choose the preferred language.  The the application contains a list of needed verification and the mailing address.  There are five eligibility locations in the Houston area.  You can find these by going to the website and clicking on “Eligibility Locations”.
