For over 40 years, Hina Mauka has been committed to assisting people with mastering their addictions through encouragement and evidence-based practices. We help individuals overcome their dependence on alcohol and other substances through a mutual effort that builds long-lasting freedom from addiction. Applicants who are pregnant and or intravenous drug users will be given first priority for treatment.

Adult Programs:
Residential Treatment Services
Individualized, intensive multi-week treatment for individuals with addictions and co-occurring health problems in a safe and stable environment.
A continuum of effective treatment options ranging from 1 to 15 hours per week, for individuals who wish to integrate recovery into their current work schedules and family life.
Weekly group meetings and skill building to help clients integrate their recovery into their daily lives
Treatment and recovery mentoring by caring volunteers to help clients access community resources, regain confidence and maintain sobriety.
Youth Program:
Teen CARE (Counseling, Awareness, Rehabilitation, Education) provides quality substance abuse services to adolescents. Our treatment programs are evidence-based treatment and provides youth with outpatient treatment at both school-based and community-based sites. Teen CARE also provide prevention services to youth, their families, and their communities throughout Oahu and Kauai.
Our counselors give youth, families, school staff, and community professionals easy access to adolescent substance abuse treatment services such as assessment, counseling, group, and skill-building activities, while ensuring privacy and continual support.
We help adolescents reduce or abstain from alcohol or drug use, reflect on their behaviors and begin to take responsibility for their choices and the consequences that follow.
Teen CARE provides support and encouragement, models healthy communication and teaches the value of staying in school, avoiding illegal activity, trusting others, and giving and receiving respect.
