The Low-Rent Public Housing Program provides affordable rental housing for families, seniors, and persons with disabilities at developments that are owned by the Housing Authority. The Housing Authority owns 25 public housing developments around the city. Please see the website for a list of these developments (click on “Housing Developments”). Residents typically pay about 30% of their annual adjusted income for rent. The offices of the Houston Housing Authority no longer accepts paper applications. Applications must be completed online.
