The Salvation Army's Central Arkansas Area Command

The Salvation Army offers the following services:

  • Financial Assistance:  Utility assistance (when funds are available), medication vouchers, clothing closet, food baskets.
  • Shelter:  The Center of Hope provides emergency assistance, shelter, housing, chemical dependency counseling, transitional housing, health care services and spiritual support to its clients. We operate a 61-bed shelter that houses women and families. This includes three private rooms for families.  The shelter is located at 1111 West Markham, Little Rock, 72201.Check-in for the Center of Hope is 6:15 p.m.
    For shelter availability, call (501) 374-8636 after 4:30 PM daily.
    Breakfast and dinner are served daily to hungry families and individuals.
    Breakfast: 6:30 AM
    Dinner: 5:30 PM
  • Angel Tree program:  Each year in October, The Salvation Army opens the application process for its Angel Tree program. This program is open to any family living within our service area (including Lonoke, Pulaski, Saline, and White Counties).  Please call for specific registration dates.
  • Summer Camp:  This is a five day camp in eastern Oklahoma.  Please call to find out about activity fees, eligibility, and to get an application.
