Food and Clothing Assistance
The Compassion House of Summer Grove Baptist Church exists to show compassion by demonstrating the love of Jesus and hope of the Gospel to our neighbors and community.
We provide monthly food assistance and quarterly clothing assistance to our neighbors in zip codes 71118 and 71108.
We serve those outside of these zip codes ONCE a year with food and/or clothing.
If you are a neighbor in need, please bring the following items with you on Wednesday from 1:00 – 4:00pm when registering:
- Photo ID
- Proof of Residency (rent/mortgage receipt, electricity/gas bill)
- Proof of Eligibility (SNAP card, SSI letter)
- Proof of Household Members (SS cards, birth certificates, or photo ID)
Upon registration, you will speak with a counselor and be scheduled to return and pick up the food box and/or clothes we have prepared for you.
Divorce Counseling
“DivorceCare” is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are separated or divorced. Each week will deal with a different subject like depression, anger, loneliness, forgiveness, drawing closer to God, and others.
The group is coed and meets on Sundays from 4:30 – 5:50pm
