Jewel J. Newman Community Center
The Jewel J. Newman Community Center serves the North Baton Rouge area and houses the Office of Social Services which provides services for energy and emergency assistance. They also offer an after-school tutoring program and a Summer day camp (call 225-775-3935 for information regarding the day camp). Emergency food pantry applications are taken Monday-Wednesday and Friday of each week from 8am-4pm. Food is issued on Thursday at 1:30pm.
