Prince of Peace Catholic Community
The Mercy Ministry of the Prince of Peace Catholic Community offers the following services:
- Food pantry: To learn more about shopping at their food pantry or to sign up, please call (281)469-2687 or visit the Mercy Center Tuesday-Friday from 9am-11am. They also have a mobile food pantry with fresh produce, bread, and pastries on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 9:30 am-11:30 am. It is held in the Mercy Center’s parking and you do not have to be registered with the food pantry to benefit from this program–just bring your photo ID and grocery bags.
- Emergency Financial Assistance: Serves people who live in the following zip codes: 77070, 77069, 77066, 77064, and a small part of 77040. Each visitor meets with a volunteer assistance interviewer to determine the family’s needs and identify what type of assistance will best address them. Having an interview does not guarantee financial assistance. Financial help is decided on a case-by-case basis. Proof of crisis is needed at the time of the interview. Examples of proof of crisis include: death notices, electricity disconnect notices, employer termination notices, police reports, hospital records, court documents, etc.
- Holiday Assistance
