The Stewpot
The Stewpot offers several programs for those experiencing homelessness:
- Meal Services at Second Chance Cafe:Located at 1818 Corsicana Street in downtown Dallas within The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center.
Meal Times:
- Breakfast 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
- Lunch 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Dinner 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Casework assistance: With individualized casework assistance, The Stewpot allows clients to identify and set their immediate goals utilizing a variety of tangible resources necessary for employment, public housing, Social Security, SSI, food stamps, veteran’s benefits, etc. Stewpot casework services are provided at the First Presbyterian Church Community Ministries Building, 1822 Young Street, Dallas, 75201 located at the corner of Young Street and Park Avenue in downtown Dallas.
- Getting Identification Documentation: Stewpot caseworkers can order school records, census reports, birth certificates, and other vital records. This documentation can be essential for jobs and housing.
- The Stewpot offers a medical clinic, dental clinic, and mental health services.
